Visiting Curators Vienna 2019 - EXTER Programme
Visiting Curators Vienna is a residency program for experienced curators from all over the world, initiated by an independent organisation Verein K. During the 10-day program, the participants will gain a comprehensive and profound understanding of the contemporary art scene in Vienna. The residency program includes visits to artist studios, museums, creative spaces, collections, meetings with other critics and curators.
Tetyana Kochubinska – curator, researcher and lecturer – will travel to Vienna to attend the Visiting Curators Vienna as part of the first Exter 2019 course. Since 2014, she works at PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine). In her practice as a curator, Tatiana focuses on issues of responsibility, memory and reinterpreting of the phenomena of the Soviet past.
EXTER is a long-term programme for international residencies in the field of contemporary art for Ukrainian artists, curators and art critics, developed by the Ukrainian Institute. As part of the bilateral cultural year, four out of eight residences of the first course Exter-2019 will be held in Austria.
